U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken Congratulates the People of Niger on Their 66th Independence Anniversary.
“On behalf of the United States, I congratulate the people of Niger on the occasion of Republic Day celebrations,” said U.S. diplomat Antony J. Blinken. He acknowledged “the resilience of the Nigerien people and the significant sacrifices they have made, which mark this important milestone for Niger.”
Blinken recalled that “the United States has long supported the Nigeriens in their development and democratic progress,” adding, “Today, we reaffirm our partnership to support the aspirations of the Nigerien people.”
