Turkey’s first domestic and national communication satellite, Turksat 6A, will be sent off to Cape Canaveral Spaceport in the US state of Florida on Tuesday, June 4, on an Antonov AN-124 cargo plane with the personnel who will take part in the launch.
The production, integration, testing and packaging processes of Türksat 6A, Turkey’s first domestic and national communication satellite, have been completed at the Space Systems Integration and Test Center USET. The TÜRKSAT 6A satellite will be sent off to Cape Canaveral Spaceport in the US state of Florida on Tuesday, June 4 (tomorrow) on an Antonov AN-124 type cargo plane with the personnel who will take part in the launch. Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, and Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology, will attend the send-off ceremony of the TÜRKSAT 6A satellite. The air journey will take about 1 day. Launch procedures will then be initiated at the Space X facilities at Cape Canaveral Spaceport.
TÜRKSAT 6A is planned to be launched into orbit between July 8-15.
