Fatih Terim’s era ended at Panathinaikos, who lost their championship chances after losing 4-1 to PAOK in the Greek Super League Championship Round.
Terim announced the departure on his social media account. “At Panathinaikos Football Club, where my team and I have been working with all our strength since last December, our goal was to complete the 2023-2024 season as champions and to give the precious Panathinaikos fans the championship they have not been able to achieve for 13 years. With Mr. President Alafouzos, with whom we met last night and evaluated the situation, we came to the conclusion that our plans for the 2024-2025 season did not match. As a result of this evaluation, it was decided that our professional relationship would not continue.”
