Niger Football Federation Suspends Super League 2024-2025 Season After Day 6
The Niger Football Federation announced that the 2024-2025 Super League season has been temporarily suspended after Day 6, effective from December 5. This decision comes after the conclusion of the 8th matchday on Sunday, December 6, 2024, with the goal of allowing the MENA A team to better prepare for the upcoming double elimination matches against Togo’s Sparrowhawks on December 22 and 27, as part of the final phase of the CHAN 2025 African Nations Championship.
The Niger Football Federation confirmed that this decision follows the conclusion of the 6th matchday, and the date for resumption will be announced in due course.
The temporary standings at the end of the 6th matchday are as follows: AS FAN leads with 16 points, followed by AS Douanes with 15 points and AS NIGELC with 14 points. USGN and AS GNN are tied at 12 points, while Olympic FC is in 6th place with 11 points. Espoir FC de Zinder has 10 points, and Urana FC, Liberté FC, Renaissance CB, and Sahel SC all have 8 points.
At the bottom of the table, Wombeye Atlantique Club de Maradi and AS Police are tied with 4 points, followed by AS UAM and JS Tahoua with 3 points, and Jangorzo FC de Maradi, which is in last place with 2 points.
