Price increases in the second-hand car market encourage fraudsters to reach out to vital parts such as airbags. An automobile expertise carried out in Konya revealed how far these tricks have gone.

Auto expertise expert Şenol Uysal encountered a vehicle with a sponge in the airbag during a routine check. Uysal said, “We were told that the vehicle’s airbags were intact. However, during the check, there was no fault code from the vehicle’s brain section. This situation aroused suspicion and I realized that I found a sponge instead of an airbag.”
