President Erdoğan issued a congratulatory message on the 571st anniversary of the conquest of Istanbul.
Stating that the conquest of Istanbul is one of the great victories of world and Turkish history, Erdoğan said: “I congratulate the 571st anniversary of the conquest of Istanbul. To understand the spirit of the conquest, it is necessary to know well how this blessed victory was won. After the conquest, which enabled our beloved nation to take root in a continent with the military genius, determination and determination of our heroic army, Istanbul became a center where different beliefs and cultures lived together with the tolerance and just rule of the great statesman Fatih Sultan Mehmet.”
Pointing out that Istanbul, which carries the traces of its history to the present day and is a source of inspiration for artists, is among the most popular cities in the world as Turkey’s business, finance, trade, art, culture and faith center, President Erdoğan said:
