In an incident at Fatih Secondary School in Çarşamba district of Samsun, 25 students were affected by gas and hospitalized after a pepper spray capsule brought by a student exploded in the classroom.
The explosion occurred during recess
Allegedly, during recess, a student was playing with a pepper spray canister he had brought into the classroom when the canister exploded and the gas spread throughout the classroom. Following the incident, security forces and medical teams were immediately dispatched to the school.
Gas Affected Students Taken to Hospital
The 25 students who were affected by the tear gas were quickly transported to Wednesday State Hospital by ambulances. It was reported that the students were in good health and were taken under treatment.
Investigation Initiated
After the incident, a detailed investigation was launched into how the explosion occurred. Security forces are continuing their efforts to determine how the tear gas canister was introduced into the school and those responsible for the incident.
