Fenerbahçe has reportedly reached an agreement in principle with Sivasspor’s young talent Emre Gökay. The Yellow-Laciverians have agreed to pay Sivasspor 2.5 million Euros for the 18-year-old right winger’s transfer fee. Emre Gökay is expected to play for Fenerbahçe in the new season.
Emre Gökay has performed impressively for both Sivasspor’s A team and U18 team this season, scoring 2 goals in 22 games. The English newspaper Guardian included Emre Gökay in its list of the 60 best young footballers in world football in 2023. The young talent attracted the attention of Europe and was on the radar of many foreign teams.
Galatasaray and Beşiktaş are also known to be interested in Sivasspor’s promising player. However, Fenerbahçe’s asking price for Emre Gökay seems to have outstripped the other teams’ offers.
Sivasspor aims to earn a significant income from the sale of Emre Gökay. Although an official figure has not been determined yet, the club’s expectation is said to be at least around 5 million Euros.
