A National Basketball Team defeated the Philippines 84-73 in a friendly match. The top scorer of the game was Tarık Biberovic who scored 23 points for the National Men’s Basketball Team.
A National Men’s Basketball Team and the Philippines played against each other in a friendly match at Akatlar Sports and Culture Complex. The Turkish national team started the game with the starting lineup of Kenan Sipahi, Doğuş Özdemiroğlu, Tarık Biberovic, Ercan Osmani and Sertaç Şanlı. On the other hand, Philippines started the game with Ramos, Oftana, Brownlee, Sotto and Fajardo.
In the first period of mutual baskets, the Turkish team finished the first half 24-21 ahead. A National Men’s Basketball Team led 42-40 at the end of the first half. The national team increased its efficiency in the third period and entered the last period 64-56 ahead. Maintaining their superiority in the last period, the national team won the game 84-73.
MINISTER BAK FOLLOWED THE GAME ON SITE
Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak followed the National Basketball Team’s friendly match against the Philippines. Minister Bak, who came to Beşiktaş Akatlar Arena, supported the national team. Turkish Basketball Federation President Hidayet Türkoğlu also watched the match together with Minister Bak.
