Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş made statements to journalists before the Cabinet meeting.
“Payments for our couples who participated in training programs and whose official marriage took place between 15-30 April have started as of today,” Minister Göktaş said.
“In the first stage, we will provide a total of 67.5 million lira support to 450 couples whose applications were approved and who participated in the pre-marriage training program,” said the Minister of Family, “9 thousand 38 couples have applied to the fund so far.”
Within the scope of the project, couples whose applications are approved will be provided with interest-free loan support of 150 thousand liras with a 48-month maturity and 2-year grace period.
Minister Göktaş stated that there are 2 thousand 283 couples whose applications have been approved and added that marriage and counseling services have started.
