The bodies of 2 colonels who were martyred in the SF-260D type training plane of the Air Force Command that crashed after taking off from Kayseri 12th Air Transportation Main Base Command for training were sent to Izmir after the military ceremony held in Kayseri.
An SF-260D type training plane belonging to the Air Force Command, which took off from Kayseri 12th Air Transportation Main Base Command for training, crashed near Hasanarpa Neighborhood of Kocasinan district for an unknown reason at around 10.00 am yesterday morning in Kayseri.
While many teams were dispatched to the region upon the notification, Air Pilot Colonel Uğur Yıldız and Air Pilot Colonel Gökhan Özen, who were on board the crashed plane, were martyred in the first examination. The bodies of the martyrs were taken to Kayseri State Hospital morgue after the investigation.

Farewell to the martyrs
The flag-draped coffins of Air Pilot Colonel Uğur Yıldız and Colonel Gökhan Özen, who were martyred in the crash of a training plane, were taken from the state hospital morgue and brought to the 12th Air Base Command. The martyrs were sent to Izmir after the ceremony held here.
Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, Garrison Commander Brigadier General Haldun Taşan, Metropolitan Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç, mayors, district governors and military officials attended the ceremony.
