Animal tag records taken from the data of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry are also included in the application for the control of sacrificial animals. The application, which can be downloaded free of charge from IOS and Android markets, will also provide information for citizens who will slaughter their animals in IBB’s facilities. On the other hand, free and unlimited internet service will be provided in IBB sacrifice sale and slaughter areas.

Bull Catching Teams were established for escaped sacrifices

IBB established Bull Catching Teams for escaped sacrificial animals. The teams, which will be kept ready at IBB Directorate of Veterinary Services animal care centers, will catch the animals that run away upon notification and deliver them to their owners. IBB Police teams will also be on duty on a 24-hour basis in IBB’s sacrifice sales and slaughter areas. They will carry out inspections to prevent slaughtering outside the designated areas. The police teams will continue their inspections throughout Istanbul to ensure that Istanbulites have a comfortable and peaceful holiday.

Inspection will be carried out in the areas

IBB will inspect approximately 1,000 sacrifice sale and slaughter areas and submit an opinion to the Provincial Sacrifice Commission.

During the period until the Eid al-Adha, the sacrifice sales areas will be checked on a daily basis and necessary interventions will be made.

Cleaning works will continue during the arrival of the sacrificial animals to the area and during the sacrifice feast. In all main arteries of Istanbul, cleaning works will be carried out in squares, underpasses and overpasses with 1,100 manual sweeping personnel and 100 vehicles on average daily. In addition, cleaning works will be carried out in selatin mosques, some central mosques and cemeteries before Eid al-Adha.
