A mutilated male body was found in two separate garbage containers in Pendik. Police teams are still investigating the incident.
The horrifying incident occurred in Pendik Dumlupınar Neighborhood. Allegedly, a citizen saw a dismembered corpse while throwing garbage into the garbage container in the morning. He immediately informed the police.
Upon notification, a large number of police teams were dispatched to the scene. Police teams blocked the scene with a security tape and started a large-scale investigation. As a result of detailed investigations, it was determined that the body with arms and legs separated from the body was found in two different containers. According to preliminary findings, it was determined that the body belonged to a man. The body parts were taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for examination, while the police are still investigating the incident.
A citizen named Salih Burma said, “We don’t know exactly what happened. I was on my way to the market, we looked, there were police officers and civilians at the door, they said there were dead bodies. Two streets back, friends say that the mutilated bodies are in the garbage. They are currently examining them,” he said. A citizen named Cahit Atam said, “They threw bodies down, the police came. They were dismembered, they threw them here. They are currently searching piece by piece, they are searching the garbage.”
