In the explosion at an explosives-producing ammunition factory in the central Karesi district of Balıkesir, the treatments of the 7 injured people, following the tragedy that resulted in 11 deaths, are ongoing.
Memişoğlu visited the students injured in the collision between a school bus and a truck that occurred yesterday morning in Balıkesir, at the Balıkesir State Hospital and Atatürk City Hospital where they are receiving treatment.
After his visit, Memişoğlu spoke to the press, stating that the treatments for those injured in the traffic accident were ongoing at the hospital. He mentioned that he would attend the funeral of a citizen who died in the explosion at an explosives-producing ammunition factory. “We will discharge one of our citizens who was injured in the explosion. We will have treated all the injured from the explosion,” he said.
Regarding the collision between the school bus and the truck, he noted that three of the injured were in serious condition.
On the other hand, Memişoğlu shared that they planned to discharge 10 of the injured from the accident between the school bus and the truck during the day.
He also mentioned that 6 of the 12 injured were in intensive care. “Three of them are in serious condition, but they are improving and have become stable. Our prayers are with them. I thank the teams for their great effort. They rushed to help with great dedication and are trying to treat them. We have conveyed our wishes for a speedy recovery to their families. Hopefully, we will never witness such events again,” he said.
