Regarding the increase in rabies cases, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca said, “It is clear from the rabies cases that a measure should be taken. Should the measure be euthanasia? Frankly speaking, as a human being, my heart is not in favor of euthanasia.”

Koca answered the questions of journalists at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. In response to the question about the continuation of MHRS meetings, Koca said, “We continue to hold meetings. As you know, I visited hospitals, they will continue. We will be in Çam Sakura on Thursday. Especially in this one-month period, we will have made an evaluation with our coordination board together with our clinical professors and assistant friends about how much of the increasing capacities and problems can be solved and what measures should be taken from now on. The meetings will continue on Thursday.”

Regarding the results of MHRS, Koca said, “We will announce the results of the approved appointment process for one month after the feast. I will be explaining in detail to the media, where you can all participate, the benefits of this application and what needs to be done from now on. In the meantime, I can say that it has decreased significantly. I can say that although the problems in one or two branches have decreased, they continue and that these problems will gradually decrease in the coming period. Similarly, we are preparing to move to an approved period regarding examinations. I believe that after the Eid, we will gradually introduce an approval system for examinations by calling one day in advance, just like the appointment approval system. In particular, we aim to finalize the examinations earlier by completing the human resources, human resources, physical conditions and technical infrastructures related to the examinations. By activating the approval system for all the examinations or interventions that we make appointments for, such as MRI, tomography, colonoscopy and even surgeries, we will provide the opportunity to make that intervention or trigger by calling another citizen in the early period if our citizen does not come the next day for the relevant examination or intervention. Therefore, we want to put this on the agenda for all the areas where we make appointments.”
