In Adana, the thief who stole 60 thousand TL worth of products and money from the market he broke into by piercing the wall could not escape from the police. The moment of the theft was caught on camera and the suspect was arrested by the court.
The incident occurred on May 25 at a market in Gül Garden Neighborhood of Seyhan district. Mustafa G. (56) entered the store belonging to Zekiye Ergin (25) and wanted to steal. The suspect pierced the wall of the store with a sledgehammer and entered inside. The thief took 200 packs of cigarettes, food products and some cash from the store, but also took fruit juice from the fridge and drank it in a relaxed manner. Mustafa G. then backed out of the wall he had drilled. The moment of the theft inside the store was reflected on security cameras. Upon the owner’s notification, the teams of the Theft and Pickpocketing Bureau of the Public Security Branch Directorate were dispatched to the region.
The teams traced the suspect by examining security cameras. Mustafa G., whose identity was determined, was caught in his residence in Gülbahçe’si Neighborhood.
It was learned that the suspect, who damaged the workplace 60 thousand TL, said, “It is not me, I did not steal” in his statement. Mustafa G., who was referred to the courthouse after the procedures at the police station, was arrested by the court.
