Groups of Turkish representatives in the Basketball Champions League are announced

The groups of Galatasaray, Manisa BBSK, P. Karşıyaka and Aliağa Petkimspor, which will represent Turkey in the Basketball Champions League (BCL) this season, were announced.

The groups of Galatasaray, Manisa BBSK, P. Karşıyaka and Aliağa Petkimspor, which will represent Turkey in the Basketball Champions League (BCL) this season, were announced.

The official draw ceremony for the 9th season of the Basketball Champions League (BCL) was held today at the Patrick Baumann Basketball House in Switzerland. The opponents of Galatasaray, Manisa BBSK, P. Karşıyaka and Aliağa Petkimspor, who will represent Turkey in the BCL regular season, and Aliağa Petkimspor, who will take part in the qualifiers, were announced with the draw.

In the BCL 2024-25 season, 28 clubs will start directly from the regular season, while 4 teams will be added from the qualifying rounds and a total of 32 teams will compete in the regular season. The qualifying tournaments of the BCL’s 2024-25 season will take place on September 15-22 and the regular season will start on October 1.

In the Qualifying Round, 24 teams will compete in 4 separate tournaments. Two of these tournaments will be the Champions Road Tournament featuring the 12 local league champions, while the other two will consist of other teams competing for qualification.

The regular season will follow the same format as previous seasons with eight groups of four teams. The group leaders will advance directly to the Last 16 Round, while the second and third-placed teams will play a play-in series in January. The BCL Final Four for the 2024-25 season will take place on May 8-11, 2025.
