Mali’s Ministers of Youth, Sports, Arts, and Culture, Colonel Major Abdourahamane Amadou and Minister of Sports Abdoul Kassim Ibrahim Fomba, visited the Niger Football Federation (FENIFOOT) technical center.

The purpose of the visit was to learn about the functioning of the FENIFOOT technical center and present it as a potential model for Mali.

During the visit, the delegation, led by FENIFOOT President Colonel Major Cibrilla Hima Hamidou, first toured the elite academy. They then inspected the swimming pool, the Abdoul Razak Alfaga Dojo, the weight room, and the medical center. Other facilities visited included the fields, locker rooms, and the hotel within the center. Minister Abdoul Kassim Ibrahim Fomba seized the opportunity to provide explanations about the operations at each facility.

At the conclusion of the visit, Mali’s Minister Abdoul Kassim Ibrahim Fomba remarked, “I discovered an exceptionally well-designed and impressive center. I believe it offers numerous opportunities to improve player quality and training while being accessible to various athletes.” The minister also highlighted Niger’s good practices, particularly in turf management.

Additionally, Mali’s Minister of Youth and Sports announced his continued stay in Niger to oversee the AES Games and attend the 45th edition of the National Sword “KOKOWA” in Dosso 2024. The visit was attended by Mali’s Ambassador to Niger, Mr. Maïga Younoussa Barazi, along with FENIFOOT members.
