According to the information obtained, the incident took place in Talihli hamlet of Ayaklı rural neighborhood of Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa last week. Following her mother Emine Savuşmak out of the house, 4-year-old E.S. was attacked by 2 stray dogs. The little girl who was taken under treatment here was discharged afterwards. It was stated that the little girl who returned to the hamlet where she was attacked by dogs was afraid to go out.
Hugging his daughter, father İsa Savuşmak asked the authorities to find a solution to the problem of stray dogs as soon as possible. Saying that his children are not safe, Savuşmak said, “My daughter was attacked by stray dogs while playing in front of the door at around 08.00 in the morning on Saturday. She has very serious damage to her eye and various parts of her body. There are also wounds on her abdomen and private parts. We went to Viranşehir State Hospital. After the first intervention there, we took my daughter to Şanlıurfa with my own vehicle. She was intervened at 14.30. After that they sent us home. Now I will take her to Viranşehir State Hospital again.”
“Do not take dogs from one district and leave them in another district”
Saying that dogs should not be taken from one district and left in another district, İsa Savuşmak said, “Please collect these stray animals and take them to the shelter. Do not take them from district to district, for example from Viranşehir and leave them in Ceylanpınar, or from Ceylanpınar and leave them in Viranşehir. Our children’s lives are in danger. Our children are no longer safe even in front of the door. Please build a shelter, whatever you are doing, find a solution to this situation. We are very victimized as citizens.”
“They attacked when they saw her alone”
Mother Emine Savuşmak said that her daughter followed her out of the house unannounced, “My daughter and son were at home. Then it turned out he came after me. They attacked her when they saw her alone.”
