The 17th European Football Championship (EURO 2024), hosted by Germany, will kick off with a single match today.
The tournament, which will be held in 10 cities of Germany with the participation of 24 national teams, will be the heart of football for 31 days until July 14. The organization, where a total of 51 matches will be played, will start tonight with the opening match between host Germany and Scotland at the Munich Football Arena.
The match, which will kick off at 22.00 GMT, will be broadcast on TRT 1.
16 teams will qualify from the groups
In the European Championship, 24 teams will compete in 6 groups of four.
The teams that finish in the first two places in the groups and the best 4 third-placed teams will advance to the last 16 round. The group competitions will end on Wednesday, June 26.
Starting from the last 16 round that will start on June 29, the tournament will switch to single match elimination procedure. The quarterfinal matches will be played on July 5 and 6, while the semi-final matches will be played on July 9 and 10.
The champion of EURO 2024 will be decided in the final match at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin on Sunday, July 14.
Turkey in Group F
The national football team will compete against Portugal, Georgia and Czech Republic in Group F.
The national team will face Georgia in their first match of the championship on Tuesday, June 18 in Dortmund.
The national team will play their second match in the group against Portugal on Saturday, June 22 in Dortmund and the third match against Czechia on Wednesday, June 26 in Hamburg.

EURO 2024 will be held in 10 German cities and stadiums.
In addition to Berlin, Cologne, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hamburg, Dortmund, Leipzig, Gelsenkirchen, Stuttgart and Düsseldorf will host the tournament.
