In Ali Ersoy Neighborhood of Altındağ district, a citizen named Vural Kedici was attacked by stray dogs while he was walking in Ali Ersoy Park. Kedici slipped and fell when the dogs jumped on him and rolled on the ground. Vural Kedici told İHA reporter, “I was walking through the park and the dogs attacked me while I was looking at my phone. One of them came and was about to bite me when I fell, my foot slipped. I went towards the hut and they ran away from me. There are constant complaints in this neighborhood. We ask Altındağ Municipality to remove the dogs from this neighborhood. Everyone is complaining about them.”
Kedici stated that he could not get any return from Altındağ Municipality and said, “They told me on the phone, ‘There is no law on that. We will evaluate it when the law is passed.’ That’s how it happened, but I barely survived. There were 5-6 of them.”
Stating that he was worried about stray dogs, Kedici said, “They are always roaming in this neighborhood. I called them before, they were removed but they still continue. This road is also my child’s school route. Children like mine go to school every day and they are scared too. Let’s find a solution to this. The dogs should be removed from here,” he said.
İbrahim Koç, the security guard of the site, who rushed to help Kedici who was attacked by dogs, said, “They attacked me before Vural brother. I was standing in front of the gate. They walked towards me and I chased the dogs by saying ‘shoo’. They jumped to the opposite park. It didn’t take 2-3 minutes in the opposite park and Vural brother ran downstairs. I went out to help him. We cannot send our children to school.”
Residents of the neighborhood want Altındağ Municipality to find a solution to the stray dogs.
