Cheques, vouchers and cash payments to civil servants abolished

The Presidential circular on austerity measures was published in the Official Gazette. In the circular, it was reported that checks, coupons and cash payments to civil servants were also abolished.

The article on the subject in the circular is as follows:

“Clothing aid to be provided to civil servants in accordance with the collective agreement will be realized in kind. Tools such as checks and coupons will not be used for clothing support. No cash payment will be made.”

The circular also included the following articles:

“Public personnel will not be allowed to work overtime and on-call pay, except in cases of necessity.

Annual paid leave periods will be used within the relevant year. The accumulated leave earned in the past will be used within 3 years.

Miles earned on flights for which the civil servant’s institution pays the ticket fee will be used by the institutions.”
