According to data from the Central Bank, house prices rose by 2.2 percent in April compared to March. The annual increase in house prices was the lowest since November 2021.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) announced the Housing Price Index data for April. The House Price Index increased by 2.2 percent on a monthly basis and 48.4 percent on an annual basis. In April, house prices increased by 48.42 percent annually, the slowest increase since October 2021.
In the statement made by the CBRT, it was stated as follows:
“RPI, which increased by 48.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, decreased by 13.3 percent in real terms in the same period. When the developments in the house price indices of Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir are evaluated, 2.1, 3.0 and 1.9 percent increases were observed in April 24 compared to the previous month, respectively. Compared to the same month of the previous year, index values increased by 37.6, 58.9 and 45.1 percent in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, respectively.”
