Social media phenomenon Alisya Bahar Candan, who was hospitalized in recent days, was taken back to prison after her treatment.
Alisya Bahar Candan, who was arrested on November 16, 2023 for “laundering the proceeds of crime” within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office in Istanbul, was transferred from Marmara Prison to Silivri State Hospital on May 24.
Candan, who allegedly harmed herself, was taken back to prison today after the completion of her treatment.
Up to 44 years in prison
Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, an indictment was prepared against 22 suspects, including Alisya Bahar Candan and her sister Gülnihal Çiçek, known as “Nihal Candan” in public, for “membership in a criminal organization”, “fraud” and other crimes.
The indictment demands that Alisya Bahar Candan be sentenced to 14 to 44 years in prison for “membership in a criminal organization” and “fraud” and Gülnihal Çiçek be sentenced to 8 to 24 years in prison.
