Ayşe Ateş, the wife of Sinan Ateş, the former President of the Grey Wolves’ Hearths who was murdered in Ankara, met with President Tayyip Erdoğan yesterday. Ateş told the details of the meeting that took place one and a half years after the murder.

On December 30th, 2022, Ayşe Ateş, the wife of Sinan Ateş, the former Chairman of the Grey Wolves’ Hearths, who was murdered in the middle of the street in Ankara in an armed attack, held another meeting with President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to shed light on the murder.

Ateş’s meeting with Erdoğan in Beştepe, one and a half years after the murder, in which MHP members were also implicated, became a hot topic.

While it was a matter of curiosity what the two talked about, Ayşe Ateş revealed the details of the meeting.

Describing the meeting on her social media account X, Ateş said that she presented Erdoğan with a quiver containing three arrows and Necip Fazıl Kısakürek’s book “Great Oppressed Throughout History”.

“I requested a security investigation about Sinan and me”

Ayşe Ateş shared the following:

“*During the meeting, I demanded that Sinan’s insinuations, allegations and accusations against him and me as FETÖ members be accepted as denunciations, that a comprehensive security investigation be conducted against us and that the results be shared with the public.

“He instructed the Minister of Justice”

*I told Mr. President about the other slanders against Sinan and me and all the threats against me one by one. He instructed Mr. Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç to take immediate action to deal with the matter and to take action against these people. In addition, Mr. President said that everything should be done to ensure that we are protected more closely and lead a more social life with my daughters. In this context, we will file the archive we have created with screenshots of threats and insults made against both Sinan and me, especially on social media, and submit it to the relevant authorities as soon as possible through our lawyer Mr. Ali Yücel.

“My daughters slept well last night”

The fact that Mr. President received and listened to me and my daughters in his office means a great deal to us. Seeing that our state is with us, along with the conscientious members of our beloved nation, has comforted my daughters, who live in constant fear of death, and given me strength in my struggle for justice. My daughters slept well last night. I slept well, so much so that my little daughter Banuçiçek wanted to sleep alone in her room for the first time in a long time.

“Acceptance is not an achievement or a victory”

Mr. President’s acceptance of me and my daughters is not a success or a victory. Because in our opinion, the real success will be achieved when justice is established and the real victory will be achieved when all the instigators and perpetrators are handcuffed. Undoubtedly, this victory and success will belong to the conscientious people of our beloved nation who believe in justice. At the end of this road, those who say “Neither right nor left, only justice!” will win.

“We will shout ‘Justice! Justice!’ louder than before”

We are neither in the middle nor at the end of our struggle. Our struggle has just begun. We will shout ‘Justice! Justice!’ louder than before. We will make anyone who thinks that they are above the law, that they can influence the judiciary, that they can obscure the murder they have committed, we will make them read the law books page by page, we will make them visit the prisons of this country from corner to corner.

‘If you twist your tongue and refrain from telling the truth as it is or turn away from it altogether, imagine what will happen to you! For Allah is well aware of everything you do.'”
