An argument between taxi drivers in Istanbul ended bloody: One cabbie killed another with a gun

In Bağcılar district of Istanbul, taxi driver Furkan G. killed his colleague Gökhan Göktaş with a gun in an incident that occurred due to a debt debt issue. The incident took place on May 11th in Merkez neighborhood of Bağcılar district.

After an argument on the phone, Furkan G. went to Göktaş in an alcoholic state and attacked him with a gun. Göktaş was shot in the head and chest and died, while Furkan G. fled the scene.

The police and paramedics who arrived at the scene upon the report determined that Göktaş lost his life. Police teams arrested Furkan G. with the gun he used in the incident and detained him.

During the interrogation of the suspect, it is learned that Furkan G. claimed that he bought a commercial taxi from Göktaş for 450 thousand TL but it was not delivered. Furkan G. was referred to the courthouse for “intentional killing” and arrested.
