According to the news in Hürriyet Newspaper, it was learned that the latest situation regarding stray animals was conveyed to President Tayyip Erdoğan and a special presentation was made after the elections.
After the presentation, President Erdoğan said, “Let’s take measures against these, but let’s protect them well. Work in this form. Discuss with other friends and bring me the final version”.
It was noted that the AK Party will finalize the draft law next week, after which a final presentation will be made to President Erdoğan.
In Parliament in June
The proposal, which will then be taken to the opposition, is planned to be submitted to the Parliament in June and brought to the agenda of the General Assembly in July. Party staff said, “After we prepare our proposal, we will go with our suggestions. If no solution comes from the other side, we will not make an effort to reach a compromise. We have listened to artists, journalists, civil society organizations, the veterinarians’ union, all of them. Bureaucratic follow-up and efficiency are also important. It seems that only with such a practice can results be achieved.”
