Estonian President Alar Karis, who is in Turkey on an official visit, visited Anıtkabir.
Karis and his accompanying delegation walked along the Lion’s Way to Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s mausoleum, laid a wreath and observed a moment of silence.
Karis then took a souvenir photo and went to the Misak-ı Milli Tower and signed the Anıtkabir Special Book.
Karis wrote the following in the book:
“I had the honor to lay a wreath in the memory of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the first President of the Republic of Turkey. The Republic of Estonia and the Republic of Turkey are friends and allies and we have shared 100 years of good relations and diplomatic history. I hope that our good and friendly relationship will further develop and strengthen.”
President Karis then visited Anıtkabir Atatürk and War of Independence Museum.
