The incident that took place in the Kurşunlu Mosque in Muğla’s Menteşe district in the morning hours aroused great curiosity in the city. At around 05.30 am, a coffin left on the prayer stone of the mosque with the body inside stunned those who saw it. When the relatives of the deceased could not be reached for about three hours, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Police Department teams took action to clarify the incident.
The body of Tahir Metin Güler, who died in Istanbul, was sent to Muğla’s Menteşe district by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality upon the request of Güler’s relatives.
The teams and the relatives of the deceased, who did not know where to take the body after it arrived in Muğla in the morning, preferred to leave the coffin temporarily on the prayer stone of the Kurşunlu Mosque, but after leaving the coffin, they left the mosque without informing anyone.
