Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya reported that 8,153 suspects were detained and 1,518 were arrested in FETÖ operations conducted between June 1, 2023 and May 15, 2024.
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya gave information about the operations organized against FETÖ in the last one year.
Yerlikaya stated that between June 1, 2023 and May 15, 2024, 5,191 operations were conducted against FETÖ and 8,153 suspects were arrested. The minister noted that 1518 of those arrested were arrested and judicial control orders were issued for 1751 suspects.

Meanwhile, Yerlikaya stated that 45 more suspects were arrested in the “Kıskaç-17” operations organized in 18 provinces against FETÖ.
Yerlikaya gave the following information: “In the operations organized by the TEM branch directorates of provincial police directorates under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security TEM Department and Intelligence Directorate, suspects were arrested in Adana, Adıyaman, Ardahan, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Denizli, Gaziantep, Isparta, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Konya, Kütahya, Manisa, Mersin, Sakarya, Samsun, Trabzon and Yalova, It was found out that they were active in the so-called ‘Police Extremist Structure and Current Structure’ of the organization, that they were users of the organization’s crypto communication program ‘ByLock’, that they communicated via pay phones, that their names were mentioned in statements and identifications, and that they had finalized prison sentences and wanted records within the scope of FETÖ investigations. As a result of the operations, many digital materials and documents were seized.”
