Russia’s Ambassador to Mali, Igor Gromyko, stated that Russia is engaged in active cooperation in various sectors in Bamako, including energy, transportation, infrastructure, agriculture, and mining.
In a statement made on December 28, Russia’s Ambassador Igor Gromyko stated that the discussions during the visit of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak to Bamako marked an important phase of this cooperation.
Gromyko also announced that the two countries had signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the construction of a small nuclear power plant and the development of nuclear infrastructure. In May, the foundation for a 200 MW solar power plant was laid in Mali.
