Ethiopia and China have agreed to enhance their cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.

This commitment was made during a meeting between the Director General of the Information Network Security Administration (INSA), Tigist Hamid, and China’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Chen Hai.

Tigist Hamid briefed Ambassador Chen on the cybersecurity products and services provided by the administration, as well as ongoing efforts to enhance the country’s cybersecurity infrastructure.

Highlighting the importance of stronger cooperation, Tigist emphasized the need for continuous support and collaboration between the Ethiopian and Chinese governments across various cybersecurity sectors.

She also expressed hope that the partnership would play a pivotal role in bolstering Ethiopia’s efforts to develop its digital infrastructure.

Ambassador Chen Hai commended the administration’s encouraging efforts to ensure cybersecurity and promote Ethiopia’s economic and social development.

He stressed the importance of maintaining robust collaboration in other areas of cybersecurity between the two countries.

To this end, the ambassador assured that he would provide the necessary support.
