We implemented this project using the build-operate-transfer model, ensuring that Turkey gains a new asset without spending a single penny from the state treasury. Additionally, this marina will generate over 1 million Turkish liras in annual rental income for the state.”
Uraloğlu noted the growing interest in yacht tourism in recent years due to the rise in maritime tourism and emphasized Turkey’s significant position in global yacht tourism.
“A Boost to Antalya’s Tourism”
Pointing out that Antalya is one of Turkey’s most important cities for yacht tourism, Uraloğlu stated:
*”We have implemented projects that will elevate Antalya even further in yacht tourism. Gazipaşa Marina will significantly contribute to Antalya’s tourism and economy. As a Ministry, we have already realized notable projects such as the Alanya and Kaş marinas in Antalya. Considering the increasing demand for yacht tourism, we initiated a new marina project. We are delighted to add a new marina to Antalya with Gazipaşa Marina, enabling the region to fully capitalize on its yacht tourism potential.
Our efforts continue on another marina project in Antalya, the Demre Marina, which will have a capacity of 600 yachts. We are working tirelessly to further enhance Antalya’s share in yacht tourism.”
